Due to week 6:
For next week following the themes you have been working on, bring 10 images to class.
Out of them, choose one that you will print and than, pair it with an object. Consider the relationship between the two.
Few question to consider are:
When you are done, show the work to friends or family. Install it the way you intended it to be viewed by the class. That way you will know if adjustments are necessary.
Reading that's due on Monday is in the email attachment.
For next week following the themes you have been working on, bring 10 images to class.
Out of them, choose one that you will print and than, pair it with an object. Consider the relationship between the two.
Few question to consider are:
- Is the object you captured presented in the image or not?
- Does either one emphasize the subject matter you had in mind?
- Does either one point or reference some other idea, like creating contradiction, paradox, or are they balanced, i.e., symbolizing harmony?
- Is your object ready-made, a found object or a constructed one?
- How are the two paired? On the wall, floor, separated or together?
- Do they have elements that unify them or not, like color, shapes and materiel?
When you are done, show the work to friends or family. Install it the way you intended it to be viewed by the class. That way you will know if adjustments are necessary.
