Dough, 2005-2006, video sculpture, dimensions variable. Total running time: 7 minutes.
whose image is the above? Your's Hanita? Where is the video? I'd like to see it.
Hanita: See details under the image.
Please help me with the following images. These are meant to be displayed as light boxes about 3 feet long and 1 foot high. The samples below are small, but if you click on them, they get a little bigger. Captions below the images are the titles. Images were shot on the streets downtown. Wasn't intending to shoot images of people, but looking at the shots I noticed interesting interactions between people and decided to focus on them in the production process. As you know I am interested in images that are still, but also sort of like moving images (not sure if they are narrative/not-narrative or stasis/not-stasis, but who cares? Let me know the following (feel free to provide negative responses, neutral responses, positive responses).
1) do the images work on an aesthetic level (attract your eye, interest your eye, have some quality of beauty)?
2) is there too much going on?
3) can you "get" what I'm saying? If so, tell me your interpretation. If not, tell me to what degree (completely confused and uninterested in even trying, trying but not getting anywhere, have an inkling ... etc.)?
4) do you see a story? If so, what story do you see?
5) The series is called "Entanglement"? Do you like this title? Does it add to your understanding of the series?
6) Does it work as a series?
Thanks.
David
