Images Due.
Due for Week 4:
In our last class, we started creating mind-maps. Sites like Artsy and ASX are just a couple among many good resources. Please email me names of 5 artists to whom you can relate your work. Choose one to present to class on Monday.
1) Review the work that you've made so far. Pick up an adjective that you associate with it. Then, photograph 10 images using that adjective as a subject matter. Bring those to the next class.
2) This coming week, I want you to be especially aware of yourself while working. For example, take notice of where you are and your movements when taking the photographs. Here are some more:
- Are you in motion or still?
- If and what habits or rituals do you find yourself repeating?
- Do you stage your scenes or craft any artifacts?
- What sounds do you pick up?
- Do you take notes?
- How often do you take breaks?
- Any dialogues?
- Do you think about captions or copy before, during or after the shot?
Take notes of your findings and choose a few to share with the class. It can be text, sounds or video.
Reading that's due on Monday is in the email attachment.
